“It is a great tradition and a major feature of both the British Chamber and Strasbourg calendar,” says Catherine Stewart of Interel Cabinet Stewart Public Affairs. “This annual autumn event enables our members to represent their interests directly to MEPs and other institutional players.”
The event is valuable to members and to the MEPs who appreciate the cross-sector and multinational
nature of the Chamber’s constituency. “It also underlines to MEPs that British industry is interested in the European Union and wants to understand the issues and challenges of the EU,” continues Catherine.
The seminars and presentation during the Strasbourg event’s formal two-day agenda enable companies and MEPs to test ideas with each other, the outcome being constructive input to policy thinking.
Individual British Chamber members can profile their firm by sponsoring the various seminars or networking events. “Strasbourg is a real ‘win-win’ situation for British Chamber members and
MEPs – everyone gains,”
